Thank you for choosing House of Cars Virginia. We appreciate your business and want to make the preorder process as clear as possible.

What Is a Preorder?

A preorder reserves inventory specifically for you before the product is available for immediate shipment.

Because we order and allocate inventory based in part on customer reservations, placing a preorder helps us plan inventory and reserve the requested merchandise for you.

Release Dates

Release dates and estimated arrival dates are provided by manufacturers and distributors and are subject to change.

Manufacturer delays, distributor delays, transportation issues, allocation changes, production changes, and other circumstances outside the control of House of Cars Virginia may affect when a preorder arrives.

Estimated release or arrival dates are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Payment

Payment is collected when your preorder is placed. This reserves your merchandise in the order your purchase was received, subject to available manufacturer or distributor allocation.

Cancellations and Refunds

Because preorder inventory is reserved or purchased specifically to fulfill customer reservations, preorders are generally non-refundable and non-cancelable once placed.

Preorders are not considered standard merchandise returns and are not eligible for cancellation or return through the 15% restocking-fee process.

If a manufacturer cancels a product, significantly reduces our allocation, or House of Cars Virginia is otherwise unable to fulfill all or part of your preorder, the affected item or quantity will be refunded.

Shipping

Preorders ship after the inventory arrives at House of Cars Virginia and the order has been received, processed, and prepared for fulfillment.

We generally ship available preorder merchandise the same business day or the next business day after processing whenever possible.

If an order contains both in-stock and preorder merchandise, the entire order may be held until all items are available.

Customers who want currently available merchandise shipped immediately should place in-stock merchandise and preorder merchandise in separate orders.

Separate shipping arrangements for an existing mixed order may be available in some circumstances and may require additional shipping charges.

Manufacturer Changes

Manufacturers may occasionally change release dates, packaging, colors, assortments, product details, specifications, or other aspects of a product after a preorder has been placed.

These changes are outside the control of House of Cars Virginia and do not ordinarily make a preorder eligible for cancellation or refund, except where required by applicable law or when the change prevents us from fulfilling the product ordered.

Other Store Policies

Preorders are also subject to our Shipping Policy, Return and Refund Policy, Purchase Options Cancellation Policy, and other applicable store terms.

Where a policy specifically addresses preorders, the terms of this Pre-Order Policy apply to the preorder purchase.
